Volume opens with eleven pages of sundry accounts for what appears to be a general store. Such items as tobacco, broadcloth, French wine, pipes, and reams of paper are mentioned along with recordings of financial transactions. The remaining twelve pages contain mathematic exercises on such topics as calculating interest, weights and measurements, and currency. The word problems all involve business transactions.
